Pagan Documents
Maryland has become the eighth state to recognize gay marriage. That changes nothing unless you are worried that America just might become a pagan nation. Please be advised that horse left the barn on July 4, 1776. Pagans believe in a “Creator” who endows them with rights, especially the right to be happy. What a decidedly pagan statement. Let us explore the revered document further.
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
That is the calling of man? To be safe and happy?
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (Not in the Declaration of Independence)
Sometimes the path to true discipleship leads to anything but safety and earthly happiness. Again, pagan principles. The same document refers to those “merciless Indian savages". I exhort you all the read “Through the Gates of Splendor” and then tell me which is Christian, that book or the Declaration of Independence. Some “merciless Indian savages” murdered Jim Elliot, Ned Saint, and three other Christian martyrs.
And their shining and redemptive example bore the fruit of eternal souls. Many of those “savages” from Equator became believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Even some of those who actually murdered those missionaries. And Jim Elliot’s widow herself was involved in the glorious endeavor! Did Jim and Elizabeth Elliot pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of earthly happiness? No, they pursued the glory of Christ and in so doing they found life, liberty, and eternal happiness!
So please do not suggest that any of the documents drawn up by the founding fathers were Christian. They were nothing more than pagan pursuits dressed up in faint religious garments which eventually gave a license to commit genocide to those “savage Indians” as well as use Africa men and women as if they were animals. Those same documents license abortions, pornography, divorce, gay marriage, and a laundry list of sins and iniquities. All of them legal and all them in accordance with the original documents.
I find it amusing when believers suggest they want “strict Constitutional constructionists” on the Supreme Court. If taken literally and with strict adherence to its verbiage, the Declaration of Independence leads to humanism. That is unless a sinner can get life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness with out Jesus Christ. You see, Jesus is not even mentioned. What about the Word “Creator” you ask? Jefferson approved of that nebulous term since it did not offend his deists views. And besides, any preacher that was interviewed today and refused to say the name of Jesus would be castigated, and many have been by the same believers who revere those nebulous documents. Joel Osteen would approve of the word "Creator".
You want pagan? Let us begin with the Declaration of Independence and work our way out for a couple of hundred of years. America did not become what it is because it turned away from the founding documents. It is what it is because those documents are pagan and they have been instrumental in arriving at the present destination.
Return to God’s Word and let every man be a liar.
